How to make your own turmeric supplement capsules using a capsule maker
Making your own supplements is rather easy and far more budget-friendly than shop-bought supplements. To make your own supplements, all you require is:
- Empty capsules made of gelatin or K-caps-vegetarian
- A capsule maker
- The herbs or supplements that you wish to use. For example organic turmeric with black pepper. Turmeric has lots of benefits.
Know What You Swallow!
Do you wish to be certain that the capsules consist of the specific active ingredients which are right for your body? Why rely on suppliers if you can tailor your formula by your own requirements.
One of the main benefits of capsules is that they allow the user to take the herbs and other ingredients in their raw natural state, with no unpleasant taste that might be connected with the solutions. Taking the powder or herbs in their natural state is a far more effective and efficient way of getting all the advantages without the negative effects.
Supplements into a capsule form
Capsules are extensively utilized for dietary, health, and sports supplements. Several sports supplements can be made as capsules, for instance, energy/pre-workout aids, fat burners, mass gainers, muscle builders, sports efficiency enhancers, and supplements for post-workout recovery.
There is also no scarcity of supplement recipes that note the raw active ingredients needed. These are readily available in books and online resources. Once you have decided on the type of supplement you desire, you need to find the active ingredients that match your goals.
The advantages of making your supplements in capsule form
* Making your own supplement pills implies that you will no longer need to consume ingredients that are wrong for your body or your objectives.
* Supplements in capsule type will save you a substantial quantity of cash in the long term, which will keep down the expense of achieving your goals.
* Another advantage is that you can use the versatility to personalize your own supplements based on your physique, body weight, age, exercise levels, and individual goals. Everybody has different goals and by customizing supplements according to individual needs, you are most likely to achieve the finest result.
Procedure
- Divide the capsule body, and capsule top
- Next, place the alignment plate (frame plate) on the body plate.
- Pour about 100pcs capsule bodies into the alignment plate.
- Gently shake until the capsules fall into the body plate holes with the opening upward. If some of the capsules are up-side-down, push down the body plate, and turn the capsules right side up.
- Now you can pour the powder on the plate, and use the spatula to guide the powder into the holes.
- If you want to put a little more powder, use the powder pressing plate (tamping tool) to press the powder down into the capsules. Fill more powder into the capsule.
- Place the alignment plate (frame plate) on the cap plate and pour the capsule tops in the frame plate, gently shake the capsule caps into the cap plate holes with the mouth upward.
- Remove the alignment plate and place the middle plate (orange plate) on top of the cap plate with the indentation of the middle plate upward.
- Turn the cap plate and the middle plate upside-down and place them on the body plate. Push several times down to connect the capsule halves together. Remove the cap plate gently
Store the capsules in a resealable bag or a jar with a lid. Place the bag or jar in a cool, dark place for storage.
7 Ways Turmeric Benefits Your Health
In this post, I have been using turmeric as an example. Because of the many benefits, I consume Turmeric daily. Let’s have a look at some of the health benefits.
Anti-Inflammatory
Turmeric has long been used for its anti-inflammatory properties in Eastern cultures; this helps the body to fight infection and repair itself. It is the oil that turmeric provides that has scientifically proven anti-inflammatory capabilities.
Curcumin, the oil derived from turmeric, has been studied in numerous experiments and has been shown to be equally as effective as typical anti-inflammatory drugs (1). The key difference is there are no side effects associated with curcumin oil. This is good news for those who suffer from joint conditions, such as arthritis, where inflammation plays a key role in chronic pain (2).
Treatment for Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease are common disorders that affect many people throughout the world and can be quite debilitating. Studies (3) have investigated the effect of turmeric in mice who have such diseases. Although the researchers are not entirely sure how it works, curcumin oil improved cell functions and reduced the symptoms
Indigestion and Heartburn Relief
Turmeric has also been shown to help with the common conditions of indigestion and heartburn. These are frequently experienced by individuals and can be incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable.
Turmeric stimulates the gallbladder and increases bile production. In Germany, turmeric is prescribed for such problems.
Heart disease
Studies have shown that there is a protective effect of turmeric on the heart. Initial research shows that turmeric can help to reduce the build-up of plaque in the heart, a key contributor to heart attacks. Turmeric may help to prevent oxidized cholesterol, which is what damages blood vessels. Damaged blood vessels are a critical factor in many heart diseases, such as health attacks, strokes, and atherosclerosis.
Delays diabetes
Research has shown that turmeric can actually delay the onset of diabetes. In a study, participants were tracked over a period of time and given either a placebo or curcumin tablets.
At the end of the study, not one participant who had taken the curcumin had developed diabetes. It is argued this finding is due to the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Cancer prevention
Turmeric has been shown to have important antioxidant properties, which may help to protect cells against cancer, particularly in cells in the colon (5). Turmeric can help to protect vulnerable cells against free radicals, which can be harmful to the body.
Moreover, turmeric can help the body to expel mutated cells that may have developed cancer already. However, research is still working out how turmeric can help with cancer prevention.
Lowers cholesterol
Initial research shows that the oil in turmeric, curcumin oil, can help to lower cholesterol levels. It works on the liver and encourages it to produce more receptors that produce lower cholesterol.
Pre-cautions
Everyone should seek medical advice before adding extra turmeric to their diet and sometimes it may actually have negative effects for some people, for example, its ability to slow blood clotting could be dangerous for anyone taking the anticoagulant medication. If in doubt, speak to your doctor.
